Cookie Policy

This Cookies Policy refers solely to the company website and shall be intended as an integral part of the Privacy Policy published on the same website.

Cookies are small text-file, which the website creates in the directories used by its visitors’ computer or mobile device, and which are sent again to the website on the following access.

Thanks to cookies a website memorizes visitor’s actions and preferences (such as, for example, log in data, chosen language, font size, other display settings) in such a way that they must not be indicated again in the following visitor’s browsing of the website or from one page to another of it.

Cookies, therefore, are used to perform IT authentication, session monitoring and store information regarding activities of users who access into a website and which can include, as well, a unique identification code that allows to keep record of the user’s browsing on the website itself for statistic and marketing purposes.

During the browsing on our website, the user also may receive on his/her computer or mobile device cookies generated by website or webserver different from those which he/she is browsing (so called “Third –party cookies”).

Some operation may be performed without using cookies, which in some cases are technically necessary for the functioning of the website.

There are different types of cookies, based on the characteristics and functions, which can remain in the user’s computer or mobile device for different periods of time: temporary (or session) cookies, deleted as soon as the browser is closed; persistent cookies, they will remain on the user’s device until a preset expiration time.

According to applicable Italian legislation, use of cookies is not subject to express consent by the user. In particular, the so-called “Technical cookies” – i.e. those used only to send a communication to an electronic communication network, or as strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by a user – do not require a consent.

In other words, those are cookies necessary for the website’s functioning or necessary to perform the activities requested by the user.

Amongst the technical cookies, the use of which does not require an express consent, the Italian Data Protection Authority includes also:

  • browsing and session cookies (for the authentication);
  • “analytics” cookies, where used directly by the website manager to collect information, in an aggregated way, about the number of users and how they visit the website itself;
  • functionality cookies, which allow the user’s browsing on the basis of a set of selected criteria (such as the language, the product selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the latter.

On the contrary, for the „profiling cookies”, i.e. those necessary to create user’s profiles and used to send advertising messages consistent with the preferences expressed by the user during the browsing, the prior user’s consent is requested.

The IT system and the software procedures used for the functioning of this website acquire, during their normal operation, some technical data the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocol. Such information are not collected to be associated to identified subject, but for their very nature could,, by means of processing and association with third party’s data, allow the users’ identification.

Amongst this kind of data, there are IP addresses or computers domain names used by users who access into the website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) address of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit a request to the server, the dimension of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the server reply status (successful, error etc.) and others benchmark relating to the type of used browser.

These data are used to collect anonymous statistic information on the use of the site and to verify its correct functioning and are cancelled after their processing. These data could be used to ascertain the liability in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the website.

The majority of browsers are set to accept the cookies automatically. It is possible to deactivate the memorizing of cookies in the browser. Moreover, it is possible to cancel those cookies already saved on your computer. In this case, you could use the “Help” function on your browse for further information on how to proceed.
